How We Made It Happen
Higher Purpose started as a group of friends wanting to give back to their community, but had no digital presence to organize drives, track donations, or spotlight the local businesses stepping up alongside them.
We built a full-featured platform from scratch with real-time donation tracking (progress bars per item category against goals), a community spotlight system to feature local businesses like King Henrys, event management for seasonal drives, user login, and social integration across Discord, X, and Instagram. The design is warm and inviting — reflecting the grassroots, neighborly spirit of the organization.
The December Food Drive tracked over 1,400 donated items across multiple categories, exceeding targets by 130-320%. The platform gives the community a single hub to rally around — see the need, see the progress, and get involved.
